It's so perplexing to think of how the society we live in tricks us into believing that it's normal to compare our lives to those of others instead of realizing that our path is unlike any other. The so-called American Dream is nothing but a comparison trap, one that we become so entangled in until we're doubting every gift we were born with. When you even think about how the education system is set up with the use of a grading scale that tells one student that they're more intelligent than another because they can solve a math equation that maybe a more creative (right-brain dominant) student cannot. I think it's a way to make us forget about our creative talents and dreams in hopes of building a workforce of 9-5ers and nothing more.
But before I go off on a tangent, I want to get to the point that I came to discuss today and that is the notion of aligning ourselves with our purpose so that we can bless ourselves in ways that we never knew we had the power to do.
Nowadays, It seems like everybody is rushing to the red light, going nowhere fast. Trying to take the same few routes to the same destination. Only to find out once they've arrived that the American Dream parking lot is full to the max and not what was expected. Even a bit lack-luster, depending on personal perspective.
But then at some point, hopefully, an awakening occurs. And a more spiritually solid you discovers the power of self-love. And you begin to work towards becoming your greatest self. So then you untangle yourself from the web of comparisions and move on to living a life of liberation.
But what happens when you start comparing your NOW self to your OLD self? Another round in the wirlwind you go. Life is but a balancing act. We must master the art of walking the fine line between constant, upward growth and to ability to be and move without having to push.
It's time you start blessing yourself daily. There is a God power that dwells within you that gives you the ability to believe that all is working out in your favor. Even when the world turns ugly, you can keep your sanity becuase your inner-world is beautiful and euphoric.
And I'm not saying to avoid bettering yourself because we all must continue to grow and evolve into our greatest potential. It's good to keep yourself in line, and a little self-critism is always needed. But just as much as you are your own biggest critic, you should also be your own biggest fan. Sometimes you've got to look yourself in the mirror and say "self, don't you ever forget...that you the shxt... and there's no one like you." And believe in the process.
Work to find your own path. Be guided by your Highest Self, it is constantly trying to get your attention through synchronicities and Divine happenings. If you're ever unsure of what it is you should be doing, it is whatever your heart desires. Take the time to familiarize yourself with that voice in your heart and to know the difference between the voices of doubt and temptation.
Your power lies within trusting yourself. When you align and position yourself within your purpose, you're bound to find blessings falling upon you. Even when you face times that others would call a curse, you know that there's a blessing somewhere in the storm. That there is growth coming from every breakdown. And that is what sets you apart. Your life is a series of events like no other. Embrace it. Be passionate about it. And life will show you that you have much to be grateful for.
